The young soprano Spanish Rocío Pérez started from an early age on her training in music, clarinet and drama in her home town Madrid. At the age of 14 she peformed at the Teatro Real in Madrid as "Sophie" in The Little Sweep by Britten. From this moment on Rocío acquires musical and drama training, performing different plays in venues such as Festival de Teatro Clasico de Almagro next to international theaters in Washington DC, Lisbon and Oporto.

Rocío Pérez begins her vocal training with Elena Valdelomar and completes her higher education at the Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid with Victoria Manso and Francisco Pérez. Eventually she attended vocal master classes with Nathalie Dessay, Ana Luisa Chova, Dolora Zajick, June Anderson, Carlos Chausson and others. Continuing her professional way, she takes part in operas like Cinderella by Peter Maxwell Davies, Dido and Aeneas and in Falstaff in different Spanish theatres. Likewise she is a soloist in the Cantania's Project at L'Auditorio de Barcelona during five seasons. Also she collaborates as a soloist in the world premiere of Bildlos / Weglos by Wolfgang Rihm at MITO´s Festival in Italy.

During the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons, she was a full member of the opera studio in Strasbourg (Opéra national du Rhin) where she participated in productions such as Il matrimonio segreto (Carolina) by Cimarosa, La belle au bois dormant (La fée bleue) by Respighi, Ariane et Barbe-Bleue (Ygraine) by Dukas, Cendrillon (Anastasie) by Wolf-Ferrari, Pénélope (Phylo) by Fauré and La Cambiale di Matrimonio (Fanny) by Rossini. She also participated in the guest performances of the Strasbourg opera studio at the Atelier-Théâtre Louis Jouvet (Paris).

As a member of the Strasbourg opera studio, Rocío Pérez was given the opportunity to sing repeatedly under the baton of conductors such as : Patrick Davin, Vincent Monteil, Antonino Fogliani, Marcus Bosch and Daniele Callegari. Moreover she was directed by Olivier Py and Robert Carsen (the latter belonging actually to world's most renowned and acclaimed stage directors) and by upcoming talents such as Christophe Gayral, Marie-Eve Signeyrole and Valentina Carrasco.

Recent parts included Tebaldo (Don Carlo) at Opéra national du Rhin in Strasbourg in a new production directed by Robert Carsen, Le Feu, La Princesse and Rossignol in L'enfant et les sortilèges as well as Cleone in Ermione (Rossini) the latter in concert under the baton of Alberto Zedda at Opéra de Lyon and at Théâtre des Champs Elysées Paris ; Amore and Damigella in L'Incoronazione di Poppea (Monteverdi), another production at Opéra de Lyon, that was meanwhile revived at both the Royal Opera House of Versailles as the Opera House of Vichy.

Other achievements :

July 2016, Rocío Pérez was awarded with both the 3rd Prize and Young Artist Prize at the very first edition of the International Singing Competition "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg". 2015, she won several Prizes at the XXVII “Concours de chant Lyrique de Marmande”. Other awards include the 1st Prize and Most promising young singer Prize at the XII edition of the international competition “Luis Mariano”, the 2nd Prize and Most promising young singer Prize in the IX International competition of singers “Villa de Colmenar Viejo” and the 2nd Prize at the Young Musicians competition in Spain. The more she received a scholarship from the “Asociacion amigos de la opera” and “Juventudes Musicales” of Madrid.
