EDUCATION / TRAINING

The Belgian soprano Emma Posman obtained with "greatest distinction", her Master's degree of Voice at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, where she was studying amongst others with the renowned Belgian soprano Hendrickje Van Kerckhove.

At the same time the young soprano became a member of the MMACADEMY of the ROH Monnaie, Brussels, which she joined in 2017. Having a great affinity for the Lied repertoire, Emma Posman forms a much sought duo together with pianist Bert De Rycke. Thanks to the by Udo Reinemann founded international Master classes series, the duo could take great advantages of being coached throughout 2017-18 by interpreters such as Barbara Bonney, Anne Sofie Van Otter, Roger Vignoles, Olaf Bär … 

More recently, March 2018, Emma Posman participated in a concert tour with Symfonie Orkest Vlaanderen, under the baton of Jonathon Heyward (in works by R. Vaughan Williams).

Emma Posman, as a member of the "Salzburg Young Singers Project, 2018" participates as Queen of the Night (Die Königin der Nacht) in the Salzburg Festival's shortened version of Mozart's Magic flute (Die Zauberflöte) for young audiences, when she is given the opportunity to replace on the spot and - on stage! - not knowing all the stage directions, the Queen of the Night in the Festival's main Magic flute production. The performance took place, on August 4, 2018 > in live broadcast).

Prize of the youngest finalist at Concorso Renata Tebaldi in San Marino (2017).

Voix Nouvelles (2017-2018). As Winner of the regional finals, Emma Posman, competed among the finalists at the super finals in Paris.

Selected for the final rounds of the Belvedere competition in Moscow (2017).

First Prize, audience prize and special prize Eté Mosan at Concours Lyrique international ‘Bell Arte’, Belgium (2017).

Third Prize, International music competition Triomphe de l’art, Belgium (2016).

Finalist Concorso Internationale di Canto Maria Caniglia, Italy (2016).

Winner of the soloist competition, orchestral production, Royal conservatory Ghent (2016 and 2017).

Emma Posman, is also amongst the three winners of the Honda Competition for Classical Music (2017-18), in Brussels.

Emma Posman participated in Master Classes with the renowned pianist and accompanist Malcolm Martineau (2018).
