Born in Valencia, tenor Javier PALACIOS started his musical studies in the escolania “Nuestra Señora Virgen de los Desamparados”. Later he finished the studies in the “Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Valencia”.He has won several music awards in international contests, among them, the first prize in the “National Singing Contest of Logroño”, “International Singing Contest Luis Mariano”  (Irun), “International  Contest Manuel Asensi” (Barcelona), “International  Contest AS.LI.CO” (Milan), “International  Contest Pedro Lavirgen” (Cordoba) ; beyond other awards in international competitions.

Development of his career has been with concerts and operistic performances all over the world. To remark some of them we can list the concerts that took place in Tokio, the International Festival  of Manchester and Stockholm, and also the performance in the Gewandhaus of Leipzig, Moscow, Kiev, Hamburg, Parma, Niza, etc.

More recent engagements have led him to following opera houses : Massy (Cavaradossi in Tosca, 2017), Liceu Barcelona (Abdallo in Nabucco) ; Malaga and Vigo (Turrido in Cavalleria Rusticana) ; Teatro de la Zarzuela Madrid as Miguel in "La del Soto del Parral" and Don Jose in Carmen ; Palau de les Arts Valencia (as Tonet in Maror), Massy (Alfredo in La Traviata) amongst others. He also participated in an opera galas with Brussels Philharmonic at deSingel Antwerp.

Javier Palacios has interpreted leading roles in L’elisir d´amore, Lucia di Lammermoor, Roberto Devereux, Rigoletto, Traviata, Nabucco, Tosca, Madame Butterfly, La Rondine as well as in Spanish repertoire : Marina, La Dolores, Luisa Fernanda, La Venta de los Gatos. Javier Palacios appeared in theatres such as  “La Fenice” (Venice), “Donizetti” (Bergamo), “Coccia” (Novara), “Grande” (Brescia), “Ponchielli” (Cremona), “Fraschini” (Pavia), “Gran Teatro” (Cordoba), “Campoamor” (Oviedo), “Cervantes” (Malaga), “Villamart” (Jerez), “Palacio de la Opera” (La Coruña), “Palacio de la Musica” (Valencia), “Perez Galdos” (Las Palmas), “Maestranza” (Sevilla), “Euskalduna” (Bilbao).

In his trajectory are remarkable the tours done with the soprano Montserrat Caballe in Switzerland, Germany, Russia, the Baltic Republics and Ukraine; and his performance for the company BMG in the record “Con todo mi corazon” with the soprano born in Cataluña .

He was “Alfredo” in Traviata in the Festival of Castellon, “Mario Cavaradosi” in Tosca with Giovanna Casolla, in the Opera Palace in La Coruña; he did “Traviata” (Alfredo) in he Theatre La Maestranza in Sevilla, being Placido Doming the conductor; “Messa da Requiem de Verdi” in Klagenfurt, “Rigoletto” (Duca di Mantova) in Athenes, Roberto Devereux and L´elisir d´amore in Santiago de Chile, “Traviata” in the Festival of Tamaulipas (Mexico). In Italy (Ravenna, Lucca, Livorno) with “Nabucco”, in the Maliban Theatre of Venice with Rigoletto, in Salerno with “Traviata”, in Cagliari el Cassio with “Otello”, with Barbara Frittoli and Lucio Gallo; in Cordoba and Jerez de la Frontera with the role of Edgardo of “Lucia di Lammermoor”, “Dialogo de las Carmelitas” in the Maestranza Theatre in Sevilla and Santiago de Chile. “La Venta de los Gatos” in the Music Palace of Valencia, “La Rondine” in Oviedo and Tokio with the Maestro Gelmetti, “Misa de Gloria” of Puccini in Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao. “Nabucco” in the Opera Palace in Valencia, in Palma de Mallorca and Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao. “Macbeth” in the Liceo of Barcelona and recently he has sung “Lucia” in Zurich, “Marina” in the Theatre Teresa Carreño of Caracas (Venezuela) and in the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao.

He also acted in the inauguration of  Theatre of the Arts of Valencia, under the conduction of Zubin Mheta. Among his future performances we can point out “Nabucco” in Niza, “La Rondine” in Montecarlo, “Traviata” in Toulon (France), “Carmen” in Sankt Gallen (Swiss).
