A Promising Young Talent
This young soprano is undeniably part of the new generation of opera singers, worthy of performing on the world's great opera stages. This is evidenced by her training at the MM Academy at La Monnaie and her recent acceptance into the Favart Academy at the Opéra Comique in Paris. Furthermore, she has also been admitted to the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel (CMRE), where she will hone her skills under the tutelage of resident masters Stéphane Degout and Sophie Koch.Gifted with an innate talent for legato, her voice is also well-suited to belcanto. Legato allows her to approach a wide range of repertoire and styles with great musicality, fluidity and precision. She has received acclaim for her recital performances at the CMRE, Le Manège in Namur, La Monnaie, and Bozar in Brussels. More recently, Margo Jacquart performed French melodies at Wigmore Hall in London, where she made quite an impression.Well trained Margo Jacquart entered the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in 2019, where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in classical singing, both under the tutelage of Professor Christine Solhosse. Between these two degrees, she furthered her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig, where she also obtained a Master's degree in classical singing, this time under Professor Carola Guber.Desiring to perfect her singing, Margo Jacquart regularly attends masterclasses. Most recently, she participated in a masterclass at La Monnaie, accompanied by the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alain Altinoglu. Other personalities who have influenced Margo's vocal and musical development at La Monnaie include Christoph Prégardien, Rosemary Joshua, and Anne Sofie von Otter. Not forgetting the invaluable guidance received abroad from René Massis, Hedwig Fassbender, Ricarda Merbeth, and Annette Dasch.Competitions thus far3rd Prize at the “Cialn International Opera Competition” (B-Namur 2026).
