Recent engagements and News !

Recent appearances testify to this. At Flanders Opera, both in the staged production led by Philippe Herrewegh of Szenen aus Goethes Faust by Robert Schumann (roles of Sorge and Magnapeccatrix) as in the title role of the world premiere led by Koen Kessels of The Convert by Wim Henderickx (role of Vigdis). And at Grand Théâtre Geneva and the Opera House at Versailles Castle in Atys (Jean-Baptiste Lully) under Leonardo Garcia Alarcon.

Future engagements include Ein deutsches Requiem (Brahms) semi-staged with the Flanders Radio Choir, Lonely child (Claude Vivier) with Brussels Philharmonic, a choreographed Il delirio amoroso (G.F. The thin line between Opera & Music Theatre

As Barbarina in a semi-staged Nozze di Figaro production alongside the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra under René Jacobs and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at the Flanders opera, Lore  Binon started successful her opera career. Meanwhile, also Mélisande in Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande belongs undeniably to her “Fetish" roles.

Lore Binon belongs to the most sought singers for music theatre productions. A repertoire she has a soft spot for. She participated in Children of Nowhere (LOD-muziektheater), Revelations & The Valley (Muziektheater Transparant), the  by YAMaward granted  Berberio (Zonzo compagnie),  In my end is my beginning (Imago Mundi), Loopstation (Ontroerend Goed) and in Love, you son of a bitchat the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, her debut in the house.

As a result of her truly interest in contemporary music, Lore Binon has repeatedlybeen invited to interpret Arnold Schönberg’s Pierrot Lunaire, next to Steve Reich’s Drumming (on an extensive tour with Rosas Dance Company) and Luca Francesconi’s Sirènes, the latter at the renowned Musica-Festival, in Strasbourg. In this repertoire the artist works regularly together with specialized ensembles such as Ictus and Spectra.

She has performed with the Belgian national Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic of Liège, Nederlandse Bachvereniging, Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse, Freiburger Barockorchester, B’rock and Anima Eterna. Mostly in works by Bach, Haendel, Mozart, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Mahler, conducted by  Lothar Koenigs, Michel Tabachnik,  Richard Egarr, Hugh Wolff, Ilan Volkov … in main concert halls, as Salle Pleyel, Palau de la musica, Tchaikovsky-Hall, De Doelen, Bozar, Flagey, deSingel…

Her genuine affinity for chamber music has taken her to festivals such as Schiermonnikoog, Yaroslav (RUS), Operadagen Rotterdam, Valletta Baroque Festival (Malta), MA-Festival-Bruges and the Flanders Festival Mechelen, mostly together with Oxalys, Zefiro Torna, Il Gardellino and A Nocte Temporis. She’s co-founder of Revue blanche. A vocal-instrumental ensemble having in no time notched up a great track record and greatly fulfilled the KLARA-AWARD-2013 for Most promising Ensemble.

Lore Binon sets herself up as an enthousiastic defender of the delicate and intimate Lied-repertoire. She has given recitals throughout Belgium and at Muziekgebouw aan het Ij (Amsterdam) and the prestigious Oxford Lied festival ... to name just a few.
