In 2013 Francesca Sorteni made her professional debut at the Theater Bibiena in Mantova as Carolina in Il matrimonio segreto. She then participated in her first modern Opera Il vagabondo Delle stelle at the Teatro Comunale Pavarotti in Modena. Other recent performances include Nannetta in Falstaff and Zerlina in Don Giovanni (Piacenza).

In 2016 Francesca Sorteni was honored with the “Grand Prix” at the International Singing Competion of Marmande (France) and was also awarded the Richard Wagner Scholarship to attend the Bayreuth Summer Festival in 2017. Other award include first place in the International Singing Competition “Mario Lanza” in Italy (2013).

In September 2015 Francesca Sorteni joined for two years the International Opera Studio of Colmar that depends of the Strasbourg main Opera House (Opéra national du Rhin). Besides her participation in the Opera Studio productions with parts such as the title-role in Cendrillon (Wolf-Ferrari), Fanny in La Cambiale di matrimonio (Rossini), Une souris & Nain Oups in Blanche-Neige (MF Lange) and Sofia in Signor Bruschino (Rossini) ... she also took part in the main opera production of Opera national du Rhin, as Voce del Cielo in Don Carlo having Robert Carsen as stage director and Daniele Calllegari’s as conductor, Lydie in the rarely performed opera Pénélope (Fauré), but also the title-role in Mririda (World Première) by A. Essyad and Ein Sklave in Salome under Oliver Py’s stage direction and Costantin Trinks’ baton.

Amongst her other performed roles : Donna Anna in Don Giovanni at the festival Escales Lyriques with Paul-Emile Fourny : Clorinda in Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda (Monteverdi), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Nannetta (Falstaff), Voce delle stelle in Il vagabondo delle stelle and Carolina in Il matrimonio segreto (Cimarosa).

During the current season (2017/2018) Francesca Sorteni returned as a guest singer to Strasbourg, at Opera national du Rhin to interpret Biancofiore in Francesca da Rimini by Zandonai.

Amongst her futur engagements : Mireille in Sette Minuti by Giorgio Battistelli (season 2018/2019).

She has sung in many concerts such as: the “Gala concert of World Opera Stars” in National Bolshoi Opera theater of Belarus, the “Gala concert for winner competion" in Le Pin Galant Bordeaux, the Concert of Music Sacra in Varese, Stabat mater (Pergolesi) in Strasbourg and Stabat Mater (Boccherini) in Milano
