In 2007 Anna Radziejewska made her debut at the Paris Opera House in Da gelo a gelo by Salvatore Sciarrino, an opera she sang the world première of at the Schwetzingen Festival in 2006 and which she revived at "Grand Théâtre" in Geneva. Subsequently, she took part in guest performances of the Paris Opera House at Grand Théâtre d'Aix en Provence, as Ruggiero (Alcina/Haendel). At the famous Salzburger Festspiele, Wiener Festwochen, Berlin Festival and Madrid she appeared both in Salvatore Sciarrino's Macbeth and Luci mie traditrici as La Malespina.INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENTShave included her participation in the world premiere of Krzysztof Penderecki’s “Credo” at the Polish Krolewska Opera ; in Bernd Aloïs Zimmermann's "Die Soldaten" (Vokalsinfonie) with WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln under the baton of Emilio Pomarico. October 2017, she made her debut at La Scala in Milano in La Nuova Euridice secondo Rilke another work by Salvatore Sciarrino. At this occasion the Filarmonica della Scala was conducted by Tito Ceccherini. The more Anna Radziejewska took part in the outstanding production of "Returning home" after Claudio Monteverdi's Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria in which she interpreted Penelope. The latter production featured Korean musicians alongside the Ensemble Kaleidoskop and was premiered at Tongyeon International Music festival. The production will be revived at Radialsystem V Berlin in January 2019.OTHER CAREER HIGHLIGHTSAnna Radziejewska's repertoire embraces works from the baroque era onward up to music of the 20th and 21st century. Higlights of the past seasons include appearances as Agrippina (title role) at Stanislawowski Theater in Royal Lazienki Warsaw, Varvara (Kat'a Kabanova), Beppe in L'Amico Fritz (Mascagni) and Annio in La Clemenza di Tito, all three at the Strasbourg Opera House ; La Malaspina in Luci mie traditrici at the Wiener Festwochen 2015 and Superflumina at the Opera House of Mannheim where the work was premièred with her. At the occasion of the 60th Festival of Contemporary Music at the Venice Biennale (2016), Anna Radziejewska sang the world première of Salvatore Sciarrino’s newest composition Immagina il deserto. At this occasion together with London Sinfonietta under the baton of Marco Angius. Among her other noteworthy appearances : the one in the new production of Superflumina, now stage directed by Ludger Engels at the Opera House of Aachen ; in Engel der Verzweiflung at Schwetzingen Baroque Festival ; in Herzlan by Sarah Nemtzov at BSO Munich ; in "The P Project" by Jagoda Szmytka & Wojtek Blecharz at Wielki Theatre Warsaw (2013) and eventually in Lucio Silla as Cecilio as in Betulia liberata as Giuditta at the Warsaw Mozart festival, including on top her appearances in Mozart's Requiem and c-Minor Mass.CURRICULUM Anna Radziejewska studied in her hometown Warsaw subsequently at the Frédéric Chopin Music Academy with Hanna Rejmer and at the Conservatory with Jerzy Artysz. She graduated in 1998 with the Superior "Warsaw President" Diploma. She made her debut at Wielki Theatre (as Bona) in “L’Arrache coeur” by ’E. Sikora. Subsequently she joined the Chamber Opera of Warsaw where she appeared in numerous Haendel, Mozart and Rossini (title)-roles, such as Tancredi, Ariodante and Giulio Cesare. With Rinaldo (title role) she appeared in Opera Houses such as Munich, Lucerne, Antwerp (Flanders Opera), Berlin (Hebbeltheater).Equally at home in different styles and practices, her repertoire includes main works from the early baroque to contemporary music. She appeared at Concertgebouw Amsterdam with Bach’s Matthew Passion ; at Cité de la Musique (Paris) with Alban Berg's Altenberg Lieder (with Brussels Philharmonic) ; at King's College Easter Festival (Cambridge, 2014) in Szymanovski's Stabat Mater together with the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Stephen Cleobury and at Konzerthaus Vienna with Klangforum in works by Salvatore Sciarrino.Her opera repertoire includes as well : Dido (Dido & Aeneas), Ericlea (Ulysse), Messagera (Orfeo), Ottavia & Arnalta (L’Incoronazione di Poppea), Rinaldo (Rinaldo), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), Annio (La Clemenza di Tito), Pippo (La gazza ladra), Isabella (L’Italiana in Algeri), Arsace (Semiramide), Kate (Madama Butterfly), Jocasta (Oedipus Rex), Olga (Eugène Onegin).In recital she frequently sings "Lieder" by Mahler, Brahms, Britten and Szymanovski (which she also recorded).cv updates : please contact the agency to get the most recent version of the artist's biography. |
