Lamia Beuque was trained as a flute player and a classical singer in Nevers, then continued her vocal education at the Conservatoire of Lausanne where she was coached by Professor Brigitte Balleys and graduated with a Master's degree in Vocal Interpretation in 2012. Additionally she had the chance to participate in master classes with experienced singers such as the renowned mezzo-sopranos Christa Ludwig and Teresa Berganza, baritone François Le Roux but also with pianist Helmut Deutsch. Eventually she was granted an Erasmus Scholarship for Excellence, allowing her to complete her professional education as an opera singer with Hedwig Fassbender at the Musikhochschule of Frankfurt/Main.

Lamia Beuque is amongst others the winner of "Pour-cent culturel Migros" both in 2012 as in 2013 and was awarded with the 3rd Prize by ADAMI at the CIMCL (Lyon) competition in 2013.

First engagements in staged productions follow soon. Lamia Beuque makes her professional debut as Lazuli (L’étoile/Chabrier) then, in 2012, Mirabelle (Les aventures du Roi Pausole/Honegger) and Kuchtik (Rusalka) both at the "Grand Théâtre" of Geneva. Subsequently, she joined on a two-year contract the opera studio of Colmar. Being closely linked to the Opera House of Strasbourg (ONR) the members of this studio also frequently appear in the main house's productions. It allowed Lamia Beuque to distinguish herself besides Fidalma (Il Matrimonio Segreto/Cimarosa), The mother (Aladdin/Rota), Mazet (La Colombe/Gounod) also in roles such as Alkandre (Pénélope/Fauré) and Bellangère (Ariane et Barbe-Bleue/Dukas).

During season 2014/2015, she made her debut in two main Rossini parts : the title role of Cenerentola at the Opera House (Auditorium) of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

Recent engagements and News

More recently Lamia Beuque distinguished herself as Alkandre (Pénélope/Fauré), Flora (La Traviata/Verdi) and Lola (Cavalleria rusticana/Leoncavallo) at Opéra national du Rhin in Strasbourg. She took part in production as Zulma (L'Italiana in Algeri, Rossini) and Viscardo (Bianca et Fernando, Bellini) in Italy and returned eventually to Tenerife, to make her debut in the role of Adalgisa (Norma, Bellini).

During the current season (2017/18) Lamia Beuque will sing amongst others Siébel (Faust) in Tenerife, Annio (La Clemenza de Tito) in Lausanne and will sing Nicklausse (Les Contes d'Hoffman) at the Massy (FR) Opera House (house and role debut).

Other career facts

Meanwhile, Lamia Beuque has sung under the baton of renowned conductors such as Patrick Davin, Daniele Callegari, Pier Giorgi Morandi and Vincent Monteil and participated in productions - of which new ones - directed by Vincent Boussard, Valentina Carrasco, Christophe Gayral, Waut Koeken and Olivier Py ...

In concert she's frequently performing in Switzerland and France, most often with sacred works such as the Gloria by Vivaldi, Requiem by Duruflé, Stabat Mater by Dvorak…). Together with pianist Claire Schwob she has founded the IRIS-DUO proposing mainly recital programs with French songs.
